We think that design has enormous potential to positively influence public policy. If data can be presented in ways that make sense to people like politicians and government officials, we could have laws and regulations that work better for more people.

Just recently Eniola Ayedun wrote a great article for us that showed where design can be leveraged to make better policy in places like the UK or Nigeria, with plenty of stellar examples.

And this week, our good friend Jon Nash, is launching a new product called Forest that uses beautiful design and data intelligence to help policy makers to make more informed decisions for their constituents. Jon and his co-founder Jethro have been developing Forest from our co-working space in London and his screen is often filled with beautiful maps with brilliant data visualization.

Jon gave us permission to share this sneak preview video of Forest that no one has seen before!

Work for NHS England?

Earlier today, we heard from Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino, who is Head of User-centered Design in the Digital Screening group at NHS England. She’s trying to find a senior user researcher with at least 5-10 years of experience doing naturalistic observation and in-person usability studies.

I know this is a little strange, but to apply please comment on her LinkedIn post here.
